TDS Calculator (India) – Salary & Contractor Payments
What is TDS (Tax Deducted at Source)?
Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) is a system introduced by the Income Tax Department of India where tax is deducted at the time of making specified payments such as salary, contractor fees, professional charges, rent, interest, and more. The deducted amount is deposited with the government on behalf of the recipient.
Salary TDS (Section 192)
Employers deduct TDS from employee salaries based on applicable income tax slabs under either the Old Tax Regime or New Tax Regime.
Income Tax = Taxable Income × Applicable Slab Rate
Monthly TDS = Total Annual Tax ÷ 12
This calculator provides an estimated annual tax and monthly TDS deduction based on your selected regime.
